This program presented by artist Regina Agu will highlight the work of the African American writer of poetry, drama, fiction, essays, and music criticism Amiri Baraka.

Commemorating the first anniversary of his passing, it will explore his lectures and other intersections with Houston and institutions such as Rice University, Texas Southern University and The Menil Collection. The program will include poetry readings, performance, and discussion.
