Have you ever wanted to explore the role spiritual practices can play in fostering compassion in your personal actions? Don’t miss this opportunity to absorb ancient Jain wisdom on nonviolence and its current application in the sacred space of the Rothko Chapel. Nuns from the Jain Vishwa Bharati/JVB Preksha Meditation Center lead a dharma talk on the teaching of ahimsa, nonharming or nonviolence, followed by an extended meditation.

Samani Sanmati Pragya holds a masters degree in Sanskrit and Jain philosophy, and has extensively lectured on Jainism and ahimsa across America, Europe, and Asia. Samani Jayant Pragya holds a master’s degree in nonviolence and peace research and has also traveled extensively to teach about Jainism, as well as therapeutic healing.

A reception follows the program.
